SQL specialists for your operations organization.
You are responsible for operations for your customers. We supplement your team where SQL Server demands particular depth: architecture and high availability, difficult performance cases and planned changes.
Many environments. Little time for the truly difficult questions.
Breadth instead of depth
Your team reliably looks after many systems. For the rare but critical SQL Server cases, there is often no time to get deeply up to speed.
Escalations that fall between the cracks
Is it the platform, the configuration or the application? Between operations, vendor and customer, an answer backed by evidence is needed.
Changes with unknown impact
Updates, new versions, changed settings or platform moves: what does this mean for availability and performance?
Depth when you need it.
Our infrastructure colleagues and performance engineers work in one team. That way you get architecture expertise and root cause analysis from a single source.
- Architecture & high availability
Plan, build and secure SQL Server systems together. - Technical escalation
Investigate difficult performance cases with evidence instead of guessing. - Change assessment
Assess planned changes in advance and verify their impact afterward. - Regular reviews
Review your environments technically at a fixed cadence, following the procedure of our SQL Server Health Check. - Knowledge for your team
PTS training and whiteboard formats on your questions.
You are responsible for operations. We add the depth.
A starting point, not a template. How the roles look in your organization, we define together.
| Task | Your team | PSG |
|---|---|---|
| Operations & customer communication | responsible | supports with technical assessments |
| First technical handling | responsible | quick second opinion when needed |
| Deep SQL Server analysis | provides access and context | investigates with evidence and PSG's own tools |
| Architecture & high availability | decides | plans, implements, tests |
| Planned changes | decides | assesses in advance, verifies the impact afterward |
| Product topics | coordinates with the vendor | classifies findings technically |
Evidence instead of gut feeling.
We bring the tools we use ourselves every day. They run locally in the respective environment.
PSG QX
Analyze execution history: which query, which plan, since when, and what a change has achieved.
QX Recorder
Capture evidence of sporadic problems so that the investigation does not only begin the next time they occur.
MX AIOps
Collection and analysis for continuously supported environments, with traceable rules and statistical methods.
Short answers.
Does PSG take over our operations?
Not necessarily. You are responsible for operations for your customers; we add the SQL Server depth. Where it fits, we also take on operational tasks, for example through the PSG DBA Pool or as a co-managed service for individual systems.
How available is PSG?
Our standard support is available on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CET/CEST Availability and escalation paths beyond that are agreed in the respective engagement.
Do you work with the software vendor?
Yes. When a question concerns the product, we align findings and next steps with you and the vendor. Our goal is a shared, evidence-based view, not blame.
How is billing handled?
Depending on the form of collaboration: as a project, through a block of consulting hours, or as an ongoing agreement with a defined scope.
How do we get started?
With a conversation about your environments and the cases that take the most effort today. From that it becomes clear whether a look at selected systems or an ongoing arrangement right away makes sense.
Let's talk about your division of work.
We listen to how your operations are organized today and show where we can usefully add to them.
